Sunnyvale, Calif., September 8, 2020 - Conrad Electronic, the B2B sourcing platform, has selected Looker, the business intelligence (BI) and analytics platform from Google Cloud, to provide suppliers on its marketplace with access to valuable data insights on their products. Time-to-value was a key driver for Conrad. In less than a month, the first marketplace sellers gained visibility into key metrics on their product portfolios, enabling them to better respond to customers’ needs and quickly adjust to demand peaks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Conrad’s marketplace provides manufacturers, dealers, and distributors with access to 2.3 million B2B customers across Germany. Once enlisted on the platform, suppliers can easily tap into new markets, launch new products or expand their existing online business. Since its launch three years ago, the marketplace now offers more than six million products and continues to grow. Conrad wanted to maintain its high-quality service and ensure that marketplace providers could easily manage their products while optimizing their offerings with data to better meet customer demand.

By integrating Powered By Looker into the reporting platform, all of Conrad’s sellers now have greater visibility into how their products are performing and can optimize their product offering accordingly. They can dig into key performance metrics on their products, including volume of traffic to product pages, price comparisons with other vendors and the number of customers interested in specific products. With the initial proof-of-concept proving hugely successful, Conrad has now rolled out the solution to its entire network of marketplace partners.
